PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

Liability and Publicity Release: I understand running in a road race is potentially dangerous. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any race official's decision regarding my ability to complete the run safely. I assume all risks associated with running in The Independence Day Classic Run/Walk, including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including rain, high heat and/or humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I am aware that the medical support for this event may be provided by volunteers who are prepared to administer first aid. I further agree that no refund of any type is allowed as the costs of the event are covered through my registration and assumed participation. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release The Independence Day Classic Run/Walk, Madison Events Production, LLC, the City of Madison, the County of Dane and all volunteers, advertisers, sponsors, their representatives and successors, from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I also understand and agree that there are NO entry fee refunds for any reason, including injury. I grant permission to Madison Events Production, LLC for the use of my image or likeness in any recording of this event to be used for advertising, marketing, or other legal means of promotion. I agree to these terms for myself or as the legal guardian of a participating minor.
